Addison Dackery (col'd) complained that J.N. Kirkland white refused to pay settle with him for labor performed, effected a settlement found due Dackery $23.40 which was paid by Kirkland. Dismissed complaint.

In conclusion I beg leave to say that I investigated many petty complaints to [too] insignificant to mention. I also beg leave to call attention to the case of A. Dackery vs Good & Cunningham forwarded by me Oct. 18th and Oct. 25th same case, in which attachment was sued out by Dackery on the crop of Good & Cunningham for rent and if said crop had been sold under said attachment forty Freedmen in the employ of G.& C. would had been deprived of their wages. [[?]] the I have received instructions to govern all in all such cases. Good and Cunningham abandoned the crop, they being unable to furnish any more provisions to the Freed.
