service, and well and promptly perform all work in the line of his duty, in accordance with the instructions of said Employer or his Agent, and to labor diligently from sunrise to sunset, except during the period allotted for meals, and to bestow due care and attention in all things upon all property and interests committed to said Laborers charge and keeping. It is also understood and agreed that said Laborer shall be entitled to every Saturday afternoon until September 1st., after which day he binds himself to work faithfully six days in the week until the crop is gathered. 

And in the event of the loss of, or injury to such property, will faithfully account or pay for the same, to be deducted out of said Laborer's wages, so far as the same will pay. And it is hereby understood and mutually agreed, that the wages of the said Laborer are to cease during sick times as said Laborer may be absent without leave, such absence to count not less than one day, and said employer or his Agent may at any time discharge said Laborer for any such absence, or habitual neglect of duty, on paying said laborer in full for his services at the end of the year; up to such time of discharge. Also that said Laborer is not to be paid wages for time lost. And said Laborer shall not have the privilege of keeping animals of any kind on the plantation, except by special permission, but can raise poultry for his own use and for sale.
