[] VII Marital relations []

Marital relations of the Freedmen.
The marital relations are in many instances the same as formerly or in slavery, separating when they desire for quarels or mutual consent, most of the young portion are properly married, and live together according to the usages of civilization.

[] VIII Disposition of the whites towards the Colored people []

The disposition of the whites toward the colored people, is more fully explained in the former portion of my report. Many seem wiling to do them justice, yet there is a large portion of the community who seem anxious to defraud them out of everything they may have or try to obtain.

[] IX Complaints []

Complaints and Outrages, are given in full in my former report

[] X State Laws []

State laws, now administered in cases affecting the freedmen. They are administered with rigid severity if against the freedman, and in favor of a rebel, if a freedman and a Union man or one who has been a Union soldier or officer it is vice versa to give them an appearance of impartial justice in all cases before the military authorities. Many of the above questions have been answered more fully in my previous report.

Very Res'py
