In the case of D.H.Simpson(W) vs. James Watkins(C) which was refered to the office of the asst com. for advice, Simpson gave Watkins note for $100.00 due Nov 21 and paid $16.00 in cash. I have the honor to most respectfully submit the above report hoping it may meet with your approval.
P.S. I have the honor to state that nearly $500 in bounty claims for colored soldiers have been adjusted, the claims of other forwarded to Washington.
