of Ground at eight dollars per month, refuses to stand by his agreement, and claims the right to collect rent of parties who hired the house.
Decision
After hearing testimony the following is agreed. Vicey Tarpley agrees to settle the matter by having three parties chosen who shall value the house, fence, stables, &c, belonging to her on the place, and Blake agrees to pay her the amount they fix upon. After receiving the amount they fix upon, in full from Blake, Vicey Tarpley agrees and resigns all rights to the place, and the rent due by other parties.

October 7th. Samuel White (freedman) charges Mr J.W. Norrell with holding back wages due him,
Wages due Sam, $100.30,
Account against him, acknowledges, $80.10,
Ballance due Sam, $26.20,
Decision
Norrell has not the money, and Samuel agrees to take due bid payable Oct 18th 1867

October 15th, Dick (freedman) Complains that Mr. Virden, of Hinds County, does not want to divide his and other shares of the Crop fairly.
Decision
Each party agrees to choose a person, then to choose a third, and the three are to value the Crop, and to settle all bills &c arising  therefrom, both parties agree to be governed by the decision of the references.
