Goodrich
and
Aeronautics

Flight Commander R.L.R. Atcherly, Royal Air Force of Great Britain, whose flying exhibitions have thrilled and pleased thousands of air race spectators during the past two years, represents The B.F. Goodrich Rubber Company on the program of the 1932 National Air Races.

Through arrangements with the Stanavo Specifications Board of Standard Oil Companies, sponsors of the splendid team of European pilots participating in this year's program, Goodrich joins in presenting Lieut. Commander Atcherly in his unique and brilliant daily performance designed expressly for the entertainment of air race patrons.

Commander Atcherly, known to his host of American aeronautic friends as "Dick," ranks with the foremost pilots of this generation.

He was twice a member of the famous British Schneider Cup team which brought new world's speed records to his service and his nation.

Goodrich is pleased to be identified with "Dick" Atcherly, a fine officer and gentleman who is known and liked in aviation circles from India to Egypt and back again.

The long and continued interest of Goodrich in the successful development of aeronautics is evidenced by "Goodrich Day" at the National Air Races, over five thousand employees from the Akron factories participating.

Goodrich is this year sponsoring broadcasts of the entire air meet program over Station WTAM for those unable to attend the National Air Races. Leaders in all branches of aviation; race winners, officials and air transportation pioneers, will be heard over this station during the period of this huge annual air pageant.

The Goodrich Silvertown Orchestra will entertain with concerts throughout the 10-day meet.

Goodrich is glad to link its name with the 1932 National Air Races.
