stop before time scheduled for departure, and all planes between control stops and behind schedule will be under control of Referee at station they have just left.
(2) Each contestant before starting, will be given an identification card upon which will be printed the names of all control stops. The contestant will be charged with the responsibility of seeing that his or her position at the time of crossing the finish line at control points, is properly entered and signed by the Chairman or Referee in charge of that control station.
ARRIVAL AT CONTROL STOPS
(1) A white line will be placed on the field at each control stop. Contestants position will be noted as he or she crosses this finish line. Contestants must cross this line at right angles and from the direction of the last control stop. Turns must not be made inside the boundaries of the field at any control point, either before or after crossing the finish line. After crossing the finish line, contestants will continue on in a straight line of flight, with a minimum climb until he or she is well beyond the boundaries of the field. The turn will then be made to the left. All circles preparatory to landing will be made to the left. Land only when a white flag is displayed by the Traffic Official on the field except in case of emergency. Any infraction of these rules will subject contestants to a three percent (3%) penalty by a decision of the Technical Committee, such penalty to apply only against the leg score where the particular offense is committed. Contestants must park ships in proper order.

Starting August 27th, 1932 from Roosevelt Field, Mineola, N. Y. to Cleveland Municipal Airport via Middletown, Pa. and Wheeling, W. Va. and Akron, Ohio
Total Purse $2000.00 and Wm. B. Leeds Trophy

(1) Open to any type of airplane of any displacement, carrying Department of Commerce Commercial License.
(2) AIrplanes are to be owned by the contestants flying same.
(3) Handicap will be based on advertised top speed furnished by manufacturer.
(4) Prize Money-First Prize-$750.00 and silver plaque for permanent possession. Second Prize-$500.00 and silver plaque for permanent possession. Third Prize-$250.00 and silver plaque for permanent possession. FOurth Prize-$100.00.

Consolation prizes of $50.00 each will be awarded to the next eight place winners.

NOTE: Contestants will report at Roosevelt Field no later than noon August 26th for complete instructions, etc.

(1) Open to any type of airplane powered with any type of motor or motors of any cubic inch piston displacement.
(2) Airplanes are to race from Cleveland to Cincinnati and return including two laps of ten mile course at the Cleveland Airport before taking off for Cincinnati, and two laps after reaching Cleveland.
(3) The winner will be that pilot who make the shortest elapsed time on the round trip, with allowance for one hour stop-over after first ship arrives in Cincinnati, and a thirty minute stop-over in Akron and return trip to Cleveland.
