LA JOLLA, THE BEAUTIFUL

La Jolla, 15 miles north of San Diego, has become of of the most attractive places to live in California, taking place with Santa Barbara and Hollywood. Above its unique cove indented shores some of the finest homes in the world have risen.
Perfection of climate, rare natural beauty, and interesting neighbors are a combination irresistible.
One attractive feature of La Jolla is the wonderful gold course, ranking with the best on the whole Pacific coast. Located above the town on the gullied slope of Mt. Soledad, it combines the most sporty of natural hazards with scenic magnificence and year 'round outdoor comfort. Both greens and fairways are grass. The new Country Club house is unusually attractive.
La Jolla has made great strides in developing all her rich resources for enjoyment. Among bathing beaches the Cove, just below La Valencia Hotel, is noted. The modern community playground is extensive and completely equipped. New tennis courts attract well-known players. The La Jolla Yacht Club, occupying a stretch of beach across the bay, brings under one head all the pleasures of sea and shore. Spindrift Beach and the winding trails of Mt. Soledad call to the horse lover. The barge for deep sea fishing is popular. The proximity of San Diego and of the lakes and wooded mountains of San Diego County is of great advantage.
