Tentative Day-By-Day Schedule of Races
It may be found necessary to run certain events on different days than are proposed under this schedule. The Contest Committee reserves the right to do so.
Friday, August 31st, 1934 Races
Event No. 1
Free-For-All--Men Pilots Only
Total Purse $1,400
Open to Motors of 375 Cubic Inch Displacement or Less
(1) Open to any type airplane powered with an engine having not more than 375 cubic inch displacement.
(2) Distance-50 miles, 10 laps over the five-mile course.
(3) Qualifying speed-175 miles per hour. Contestants must have established a qualifying speed of 175 miles per hour or better in order to be eligible for this event.
(4) Prize money--first prize--45%; second prize--25%; third prize--15%; fourth prize--10%; fifth prize--5%.

World's Record Three-Kilometer Straight-Away Land Plane Speed Dash
For Motors of 375 Cubic Inch Displacement or Less
(1) The first place winner in Group No. 1 will attempt to establish a World's Record for this cubic inch displacement group.
