[[symbol]] Year after year United Aircraft products have contributed brilliantly to the establishment of new performance records at the National Air Races. Each year they have had an active part in setting new marks to shoot at. Pratt & Whitney engines have powered the winners of major events since their inauguration in 1930 and '31, maintaining their reputation for leadership in the development of more efficient, more dependable power. This year, automatic pressure lubrication and automatic mixture control give added emphasis to this leadership. Together these Pratt & Whitney pioneered improvements make it possible to utilize tp the full advantages of Hamilton Standard Controllable Pitch Propellers and Constant Speed Control. They contribute to the outstanding performance of Chance Vought Corsairs among military types- ad the Sikorsky S-42 and S-43 among transport ships.
