OFFICE OF THE MAYOR
CITY HALL, PHILADELPHIA 7, PA

GREETINGS
TO THE
1955 NATIONAL AIRCRAFT SHOW

Philadelphia is honored to play host to the 1955 National Aircraft Show, and to welcome the thousands of air-minded visitors who will be present during the three days starting September third.

It is particularly fitting that Philadelphia will be the scene of this great annual exhibition because in no community anywhere is commercial aviation developing at such a rapid pace.

Visitors to Philadelphia this September will surely be impressed by the facilities offered at our International Airport with its great new terminal building.

Of course, during your visit here we trust you will take time to visit other points of interest in this historic city. Philadelphia is not only the Birthplace of American Independence with many national shrines but a bustling commercial and industrial community where there is much to see and do.

You can be sure that a warm welcome awaits you here to what we confidently expect will be the greatest aircraft show in history.
