FERNANDEZ: "No, 666.661."
GAMBLE: "Mr. W.A. Mara, you are assistant to the President of Bendix Aviation Corporation, is that right sir?"
MARA: "Yes, that's right."
GAMBLE: "And this is a new record. Is that correct, Mr. Mara?"
MARA: "Well, Captain Fernandez has broken the old record by more than 50 miles an hour. The Captain has also--this is the 25th Annivers ary of this Bendix Race that was [[strikethrough]] run [[/strikethrough]] won by General Doolittle 25 years ago at 231 miles an hour. So that means that Captain Fernandez is 430 miles an hour faster than Doolittle was 25 years ago."
GAMBLE: "You've attended a lot of these races, haven't you, Mr. Mara?"
MARA: "Yes. We definitely have a new record here."
GAMBLE: "Captain Fernandez, I understand you saw action in Korea. Is that correct?"
FERNANDEZ: "Yes I did."
GAMBLE: About how long were you over there?"
FERNANDEZ: "Oh, almost a year."
GAMBLE: "And what kind of record did you have over there?"
FERNANDEZ: "Well, I shot down 14 and a half Mig-15 aircrafts and damaged two."
GAMBLE: "What were you flying over there, Captain?"
FERNANDEZ: "The F-36 Sabre."
MARA: "Perhaps the Captain won't say it himself but he's the leading living Korean ace."
GAMBLE: "Captain, how does that compare with this 100-c you were flying today?"
