Dr Sir
I wrote you some ten days ago, informing you that I had reported to Maj Lewis, for duty, and that I thought that I could spend some time advantageously at this place in organizing night schools. Since that time I have seen Rev Mr Warner, who is sent here by the A.M.A. to superintend their schools at this place, and we are now working together. We have not been able to accomplish much as yet on account of the great stir in political matters, but we shall make a big effort next week and I think shall succeed in starting 3 or 4 good night schools.
