I have just returned from Washington, Ga. I went up there by the request of Genl Pope. While there I had a large educational meeting and have no doubt much good was done by my remarks and the speeches of their own men. I have been expecting you here for the last week or two. I am afraid you are sick though I hope not I am still feeble I do not gain my strength as rapidly as I would like but hope to recruit faster now that the cold weather is setting in. I have not received the money which you promised to draw and forward to me and would be very much obliged to you indeed if you would attend to it for me at your earliest convenience as I am really very much in need of it just
