E.A. Ware, Esq,
Sup't. Schools for Freedmen, Atlanta, Ga,

Dear Sir,
We send you by mail the first three books of the analytical series of Readers, believing you will at once appreciate their peculiar adaptation for use in the Freedmen's schools. Their use of the word-method and object-lesson systems of instruction render them admirably suited to this purpose and we have spared no pains or expense to make the books artistically and mechanically what a first class book should be-

Please examine them carefully and give us your opinion of their merits - If they meet your favor we should be pleased to know you encourage their use - If you wish to see the last three books, please advise us.

Yours truly, Mason Bros
