Thomasville Nov. 14, 67.

Mr Ware,
I write this to inform you that I have resigned my Commission as Teacher of Freedmen, being obliged to enter upon some other business as a means of support. I did my best to get up a school in Quitman but found it impossible to do so, and wrote you to that effect. Have not as yet been favored with an answer. I have expended the little I had with me and have been obliged to send home for assistance therefore I feel justified in resigning
Yours Respectfully
