Youres  of Oct 24th has been recieved. I am truly sorry that you are unable to furnish the necessary means to suport a school in this place where one is so mutch needed -

As I mentioned to you before that if there was a place where the Coulard People needed teaching it was Darien, & its vacinity, it makes me feel sad to see so many poor children running about without a place where they could have one word of instruction given them or many of them are
