Sup. Ed. Bureau RF & AL

My Dear Sir:

Mrs Randall has been teaching in Greenville since early in October. It is a new and important field, and she has a good school, but has met with stubborn opponents. A less energetic teacher would have sunk under the difficulties. The place is not provided for By F Assoc- of M. E. Church Dr Rust did not take her name on his Memorandum understanding that Mrs R was employed by A.M.A. I have seen a letter adressed to her by Field Agt of that Asso'n in which he promised her $15 pr mo. and allowed her to select her own field This was just at a time that I went to Jonesville & organized educational association. I trust Mrs R.
will be provided for according to promise of the Agent

I am, Sir, very truly yours
J H Caldwell

PS We are all engaged in a common cause that has a common enemy & I trust we will mutually aid one another
