LR. 236, O.S.E, Vol 2. 1867 States that the freedmen have a building in Covington, where they can worship God, & have School, it is was bought by the Miss society of the M.E. Church further states that they are depending, on the $40.- per month rent promised. [[stamp]] THE NATIONAL ARCHIVES OF THE UNITED STATES [[/stamp]] Office A Com'r, Bureau R. F &c Atlanta, Ga. Nov'r 26, 1867. Respectfully referred to Mr. E.A Ware, Sup't of Ed for the state of Ga. who will report the room in Mr. See's name, on his "form 2", at $40 per month.
