character but has not a public school experience as we could wish —

I wish to say a word in regard to our teachers in Columbus. They do not seem to act in harmony & we have mutual complaints. We are told of some of them that they do not use the colored people well. This is the worst fault in our eyes. We have sent to them all, and to a colored man who felt himself wronged, to send us their statements. If you visit Columbus yourself — or have any agent there you can trust to send us a report we should be very glad to have an impartial statement on this point

Yours very respectfully
