Dear Sir-
I am happy to inform you my school, which in October numbered only about 20 pupils, increased to upwards of thirty last month. My business arrangements compel me to suspend the present month. Could I have continued I have not a doubt I should now have in school between forty and fifty. The reason of the meager attendance the first month has been explained.

I may have violated your wish by distributing those little Readers, which you let me have while in Atlanta, without first receiving the money. At Sunday School the colored people promised me they would in a short time pay a dime for each, and I accordingly distributed them next morning in
