through November from the Freedpeople, we have now about 150 pupils in attendance I have been considering whether it would not be better to close the school for a month or two after Christmas. we have had school constantly since the first of last February with the exception of one month; our people would rather close in cold weather and have school during the summer months But I will make no decision until I hear from you upon the subject; neither am I able at this time to say how long I will be supported by my friends north though I hope, to be enabled to continue the school here until some assistance comes through Governnent, or from State appropriations

Verry Respectfully
Emanuel Heyser
