Your favor of the 28th Septr has been recieved. In fact came duly to hand, but - as you stated in it, "That you had no funds and advised me to proceed with my school as best I could, for the present," I deferred writing you till now.  I stated in my last to you, that I had a flourishing school - but as soon as it was known that the Gov't had withdrawn aid, quite a number of the Patrons withdrew their children.  I have been running it however in connection with a night school since Septr. and in consequence of the failure on the part of the Farmers I find it impossible to recover anything like half the money due me - for my trouble.  Scarcely any of the Patrons have enough to pay even a dollar, and I feel if you can raise any funds at all that I am entitled to something, I will if you desire it send you a revised list of my scholars entitled to Govt aid and will be very grateful for any assistance from the Gov't through you.  Be Kind enough also to give me all information as regards the action of the
