Office Agent Bur. R. F & A Lds
Division of Cuthbert
Cuthbert Ga. Dec 11 1867

Respectfully returned to E. A. Ware Esq. Sup't'd't. Ed. State of Georgia Atlanta Ga with the information that F Gray has left Georgetown Ga. and is now in Columbus. My letter informing him of your willingness to pay him $10.00 per month for one session if he would continue to teach there did not reach him at Georgetown as I received a few lines from him from Columbus a few days afterwards. A letter signed by him of Dec'br. 7 '67 from Columbus informs me that he is not willing to teach any more at Georgetown unless the Association at that place pays him the balance due from last session, which they are not able to do. If the A. Miss. Ass. would send a teacher there it would open up the colored people [[strikethrough]] there [[/strikethrough]] to new exertions, and the Bureau aid of ten Dollars per month and the Educ. Assos. together could maintain a teacher.

I have the honor to return the within Blanks.
