Bureau R.F. and A.L. Off. Agt Henry & Newton Cos McDon'o Ga Dec. 10. 1867 Sir: I have the honor to acknowledge yours of the 7th Inst. and in reply, say: 1 = There is no school in McDon'o. The building to be used as church and schoolhouse, is now about completed. 2 = I have repeatedly conferred with the freedmen, and they say that they "can pay the board of a teacher." 3 = They would "like a good colored teacher" and would be ready for her about middle of January next.
