My Dear sir. I seet myslf this morning to rite you afw lines to let you heare frome me and how I am geting along heare in Hawkinsville. I reported when in macon at the Convension that the white people had subscribe to me 100 dollars for the bilding of my church and tha hav pade it allibut afw dollers in lumber and marriges[?] but since the collerd hav voted. tha hav to close therre church dorese againee wel I had to take those Coords and put up a tempred bilding for church and scoule house. as we have nun but that that dis like it verry much be couse I [?] the lumber in that [?] but I did it to the best of my ability and tha as unwiling to do but a littlet more forwd and till tha cause sum more lumber put in place for the bilding and my fear sir if you can [?] your arsistiont he alpe me to abond one hunderd dollers I can move furerd in trying to billd know you prove youre frenship to me by answrring to my recnt as it is the first time I hav ask one of you in [?] I must informe you that my scoule techer was shot afw days ago but not bild and it was dun for nothing at [?] but predgidis and thare
