those benches and blackboards of Mr. Rockwell for the use of the teachers, at present, in the night schools. Miss Plummer had no seats nor blackboards in her schoolroom, and borrowed a part of these from Lieut. Wagner, and those, of course, are used in their night school.

The other teachers, and myself with them, wish now to commence a night school. We cannot have the church, for it is used every evening by the good people. A room at the home, in the kitchen, can be used, without extra expense, but we have no seats. Last year the Bureau furnished such articles when necessary. Seats and blackboards were thus provided in Raleigh, N.C. Can it be done now, and in this case? If so, they will be ready to convey to the hospital buildings, if we are permitted to fit them up for schools. Mr Rockwell has written me with reference to the prices &c. and the seats & blackboards are really a necessity.

Some Blanks for teachers reports are needed - I think Lieut. Wagner has written you for them. Will you please send me your circular, issued some time since, in reference to filling out the reports.

Please give my regards to Rev. Mr. Francis and the other members of your household.

With much Esteem
Yours Truly,
Harrison Leland
