My School Report has been delayed, first from a misunderstanding on the part of the teachers as to the time of reporting, and secondly from my absence on pressing duty-
We have a teacher at Satilla Mills, Camden Co, began yesterday. Another arrived this A.M. and I start for Camden Co tomorrow with her- a long trip in a sail boat for a lady- and then a long ride inland- I shall be glad when they all get to work- Am expecting one more- a man- and shall not attempt I think to do more, unless what I ask for in this meets with encouragement from you- &c. are you going to be able to frt the 200 Dolls for St Simond? I wish you could- Col Deveraux (Agent) is here to-day pleading that something be done- The people want a school, they can't do much toward its support- they have no money their crops on the whole I stated are an utter failure- They will give their labour to put repairs on the
