Dear Doris,
I will now tell you what has transformed since my last writing. Pa is craning his neck to see the funeral procession form down below us of that Daniel Kahene, he passed away night before last with a cracked skull from the effects of that drunken brawl. Well Tuesday afternoon Luella and Marion Blapp called me up on the phone they were down to Alice Jabbots and said they had been up here, but found no one at home.(I was down to Dykemans after Pa's order.) but would come up and try again, they wanted to talk things over with Alice, about her going down to the shore to work this summer, but she was here the week before and of course they did not see her, so I had a good call from them. a new auto with her two daughters.
