The day is most gone. I have taken the outside windows on. The front side of [[?house]] and put them away but have not touched the back as yet I have pulled the Clematis all the old out and have cleared of [?] [?General?]. I saw Fred Snell Thursday evening he and his father came to the Lodge to gather and there Friday met him and the [?Struck] for a few minutes. looking good. said he was good for another six months in Service he thought. were the New Market and Store opened Thursday and they have done a big business they have for the time being but the other market nearly out of business I did not find it very bad but it will take a week or two for me to notice it in the Groceries but they shurly are a hard bunch to compete with Blake was working for them [?] each two days hope they will keep him  The [Hocer?] on the corner has the [Cellar?] about done they are to build the lower story of [?Tile's?] but the Tiles have come broken pretty bad they may not use them
