The Beans worm has just about [[found?]] all the Vines around here we have some growing in a jar and are to see the Moth which does the work, one is most ready to come out now. No Beans for me next year if they are to stay as I think they will. I will let your Mother tell of our trip this forenoon and the results. our Clematis has not begun to flower yet seems to me to be late but it has covered all the corner from the window to cor of House and around the corner. Every thing around the House is growing and very green from the rain we have had for it comes every week a day or so.

Dear Doris, I feel quite flattered that "Chippie" wanted my statement whether it was. About School, I don't want to go back but as yet I have not resigned. Last Wed. I was in town at the Custom House [[Tower?]] and saw notice of an Exam for "Correspondence Clerk" which was there on. I was about an hour late but took it just the same although I have not yet made out the application blank for Washington. Thank you for all of your helpful suggestions.

Dr. Shorer was up yesterday afternoon and played quite a bit. Last evening we went to the movies and had ice cream together and this P.M. we are to go for a walk, probably to the Indian Oven.

Yesterday or day before I happened to run across one of your old diary writings re a walk you took at Linikin [[Linekin]] Bay, and I thought I would again urge you to try publishing some of your papers. Try twenty-five and if in that number you don't get something accepted I will let up on you for a while, but you really ought to get started along that line. I am glad Sid is enjoying himself so much. Love, Lena
