We found Snells letter very interesting. I hope he has got the right kind of a girl, for a wife, he has a good salary, but will have his Mother on his hand for a while at least. If the girl marries she may take her sometime. The father is well cared for.
  Pa has written his letter to you and one to Lena, now he is out raking up under the window, its too pleasant to stay indoors long at a time.
  We are puzzled to find a place to put the flowering quince bush.
  Cohaine is coming to cut down the trees that are dead in the grove back of the house next week. Pa has given Gertrude some young maples to set out in front of their house, and is going to help dig them up. 
  He also told George Ring he would give him some of our buttercup bush, when he separates it this fall as his lawn is nicely graded now, he has got granale the walks to the amt of $250. so it looks fine
