Tina wanted to know about you. she said what is she like, she knew nothing about you she said. Hazel and Mamie you know, were about-of an age and she knew her. Abbie said that you were more like Pa. she is an awful good woman but I guess her daughter never was much comfort to her. It is rumored that Alice loomey is going into a convent but I cannot believe it so, they are too united a family, tomorrow they give the big dinner in the town hall to the returned soldiers, great time in our town, and Pa came home this morning and said right across the front entrance was draped the Irish flag. Hibernians put it up and the rain soaked it, so that now it draggs. hope some body will take it down its disgraceful. Dr Shores came up Friday night and eat pears which she, seemed to enjoy we showed her the pictures you sent home, the house look fine, but I was ashamed of my looks, the grin on my face spoilt the picture, the rest was all right. well now I must do my dishes and will say adieu
