Dear Doris I will now write to let you know that I am still working on your last chemise. Your check I received, but you need not have sent it, as I am willing to do such things for you while I can. We went down last Sunday to Mort Lambs and saw the picture of the old place which he had made a large sized pretty autumn [[[srell?]] by taking in the barn and cobbling shop. He has a studio full of his paintings some very interesting especially those taken of places around town. He and Anna spent the evening up at our house Tuesday. he was very much interested in those views of Guatamala. I suppose he would like to paint some of them. He took home that picture Mrs. Glover gave to me, "Hes coming" you remember, and is going to show that to Mrs. Leongyear when she comes after the painting we think there may be a chance to make something out of it. I have been cleaning my frontchamber Pa and Shane just put the carpet down again, and next I [[torn]] to clean [[torn]]
