Avon Mass. 2/16/34

Dear Lucy;
I was sorry we couldn't get out to Arthurs funeral, as you knew I was in Everett at the time. It was so very cold at the time five above zero, we thought we wouldn't try it. Since then, I came back here, & I have been trying to get over to see you, but the weather keeps so cold, it is getting to be pretty tiresome. I was wondering how you are; I know you will miss Arthur very much, he has been such a care for so long. But he is better off, it is a blessing he went. Is Mrs Osborne still with you? I suppose Lena
