Dear Arthur,
I find that Victor Gage's address was given simply as the Bureau of Standards Washington. That may be too indefinite for use. However here it goes.

One other question I meant to ask you on Saturday was this. If you want to buy a house through the Cooperative Bank how is it done? Some one told me you you could[[strikethrough]]n't [[/strikethrough]] borrow only 60% of the value of the home. Yet Mr. Daly borrowed nearly all. If a house has a mortgage will the bank lend money on the cash price? Will they lend enough to cover the whole thing so that one might buy outright? I'm not thinking of doing anything of the kind but I would like to know who is right in the argument.

Isn't it fine to have the weather spring like?

Sincerely
Helen W. Farrell.
