There is much of interest to take in around where the war took place. There is much reconstruction work done in these places. Many people are travelling these days which makes Virginia very popular. It has been very warm since I came real summer weather most of the time. I see by the papers Boston has been warm as well. there are many flowers still in bloom, the roses are very beautiful. I wish you might have some of them. Vegetables are also in the garden we have had green peas several times also tomatoes snap biens, shell beans, corn, spinach and lettuce. Grapes and peas on the place. I wonder where Dorris is, she is near Washington in Virginia I think you said, we may drive near on the way to Richmond. I don't know just how I will go home, perhaps I may go to Baltimore as Talbot has to go after next week there on his work. any way I think it will be long enough to stay. Ella, spent two weeks in Beverly with Mildred and this week she will be in Stoughton until I get home. I wish you might be able to travel, I think though if you are wishing to stay at home I wouldn't if you would be home sick to be with Dorris for a while. very likely you prefer to have her go to you. It is getting somewhat dark so close with love remember me to the lady
