friend passed away.

I think she does well to stay with Mattie Sewall as she does. Alice likes to be near people I would think, it must be lonesome in that home, what a blessing to have Guy get through, I miss going to Stoughton I hear from them once in a while. So many things can come to pass in just a single year at times, then again there will not be so much of a change. It is nice for you to be in your own home town. It has seemed best for me somehow to make changes at times I hope for the best. My food comes up on a tray, so you see how much I am alone. This is the twelvth letter I have written, I think it is the last one for this season.

I hope you will have the Washington folks with you for the day.

Regards to house keeper,
With love.
Mary T. French.
