Arlington, Mass
Dec. 18-39.

My dear cousin Lucy:-

It has been some time since hearing from you. I hope you have kept in as good health, Doris and your grandchild you have had part of the summer at least. It must be interesting to have the child come to see the changes in her as time goes on.

Think I have made a change since you heard from me. I am now at 30 Ashland St, where I came Oct. 19, With a Mrs Hill who takes four patients at a time, there are only three of us here now two men diabetics, one of them has lost both legs and is blind seventy five years old the other one, one leg gone he has a wheel chair which he can get from bed into. this makes us feel we are not so badly off when others are so much worse. I can walk around and wait upon myself now. am in my room alone most of the time, Mrs Hill comes in often.
