Hope you are keeping as well or better than when I saw you. as to my self am very well. I get out nearly every day to do shopping. Today have been shovelling a little like to be in the air, Have just read your very interesting letter, I hope we wont ever have to go through any fires, there are many of them  more in cold weather  As to you being lazy would think just the other way around  would fit the case. I hope your eyes are improved so you will be able to use them all you will need. you will be better contented to be doing something. I don't mind being idle, have to in fact to rest after so much house

Dear cousin Lucy,

For some days have been thinking would write you, your letter was very interesting and the one from Dorris. Would say she did have a full day of it, expect it was a little more interesting for the little one to have the service, if not for her folks. She will never forget it would imagine it being the first time,
