W.Baldwin, Me
Dec. 19 [1934]

Dear Aunt Lucy:
This is a little late for me to write and thank you for the nice time that I had at your house. It being the Christmas season, I want to include a very hearty wish for a happy Christmas for you. I don't known when I enjoyed 5 days anymore than those last September. I visited many of the home places and the home folks. I certainly enjoyed seeing Doris. Dorothy and her cousins has a very fine time also. My mother and I have not enjoyed ourselves as much in a long while. I hope we can do it again some time. Doris sent me some time pictures, just this morning.
We have been very busy since we got back. We are fairly well. I certainly hope that you are, too. We are not going to have a severe winter, I should pay. It has been fairly cold, but little, or no snow so far. We are quite satisfied with the way the way winter starts in.
We are probably to more next spring, and just when I do not know. I am not worrying about that, however, for we have enough other things to think about. Our family is getting ready for Christmas. Such preparations as we are making. With Dorothy I am living some of my own childhood all over again. We have our trees all decorated. Dorothy enjoys making Christmas for other, too. She saved quite a few pennies during the year and put them in the Salvation Army box. I would like to spend some hours with you real often. I wish we were nearer. However, I shall be thinking of you often, Write now and then when you feel like it. With much love. Bert. [Wentworth]
