Egyptian Arts in the form of sculptured tombs monuments etc together with pottery jewelry and weapons. Some of the pieces of sculptures were done in biblical times long before the Christian era. In the galleries of the Reinassance period when is about the fifteenth + sixteenth century are some fine statues by Michael Angelo + other celebrated Sculptors of that period very beautiful indeed. In the galleries of Modern Sculpture are some of Canovas best things together with some fine statue by French Sculptors done within the last century. The galleries of paintings are very extensive + contain many of the best productions of the old Italian German + French Painters. Some of Raphaelo pictures are there, Michael Angelos' also + many of Reubens' best paintings as well. There is an extensive gallery of sketches by the great Masters. To me it is the most interesting art of the Louvre. There we can see how the ideas that formed [[strikethrough]] of [[/strikethrough]] the greatest masterpieces first spring from the minds of the Artists. It is very wonderful indeed to look at the sketches of some of the greatest paintings of the world + think those pencil strokes were put there before the world knew of the great masterpieces that were to follow. There are several rooms in the Louvre which contain furniture wearing apparel armor + c used y the Sovereigns of France. The identical hat worn by Napoleon in his campaigns is there. The old gray overcoat he always wore [[strikethrough]] also [[/strikethrough]] with the chair he sat in the saddle he rode the sword he wore + all the articles he used in his wars.
