doing it myself or someone else is. I expect almost any day now that Miss Garland will start in. She goes home to-morrow for nine days, and so I am in hopes to get some work done if the weather holds good. Quiet and good weather seem to be requisites for health, happiness, and accomplishment on my part.

Mrs. Andrew is very ill again. I was in town last Saturday and called up the house. Mr. Andrew answered, and seemed exceedingly concerned about her condition. She was reacting somewhat to her new medicine, however, and he was awaiting the arrival of a new doctor at the time I telephoned. Since then I have not heard, but plan to call up again before long. I wrote Berenice, and she said that all we could do was hope
