Do you recognize this paper, Mr. Holmes? It is some of that you gave me last Christmas. Have you brushed and put your new blue suit in the bag I sent you and tied it up tight around the hanger so no moths can get in? It was such a very good-looking suit it would be a shame to have them feast upon it. I gave a bag like it to Theodore, and he seemed much pleased with it. 

I suppose John Hollis comes back to Andover Academy to-night after his two months' absence on account of a bad attack of grippe. 

Can I do anything for either or both of you in any way? Please tell me frankly, for I do want to help if I can. 

Isn't it nice to think that the days are already growing longer? 

I expect Miss Garland in half or three quarters of an hour now. She has had ever since the Tuesday before Christmas.
