{SPEAKER name=" Sam Bailey"}
they don't talk about the fact that we generally have no paid vacations
[00:28:26]

{SPEAKER name=" Sam Bailey"}
no sick leave, unemployment compensation and our retirement benefits
[00:28:31]

{SPEAKER name=" Sam Bailey"}
they said nothing at all about the, the fact that automation and chemical weed control is putting thousands of people out of work every week
[00:28:47]

{SPEAKER name=" Sam Bailey"}
they said nothing about the fact that the sales tax, places a heavy burden on the low wage earner
[00:28:55]

{SPEAKER name=" Sam Bailey"}
why is it that none  of our politicians say not one word about an income tax that would provide taxation from the more wealthy people
[00:29:06]

{SPEAKER name=" Sam Bailey"}
and thus provide revenue for the building of better schools, better hospitals and better roads
[00:29:12]

{SPEAKER name=" Sam Bailey"}
now I could talk on and on about what our politicians find convenient to ignore
[00:29:19]

{SPEAKER name=" Sam Bailey"}
of course there is a reason for it
[00:29:22]

{SPEAKER name=" Sam Bailey"}
they are remaining silent on these issues because the politicians of this state only represent the favoured few
[00:29:32]

{SPEAKER name=" Sam Bailey"}
they never say one word about the fact that the present administration that we live under was elected by 6% of the people 21 and over in this state
[00:29:48]

{SPEAKER name=" Sam Bailey"}
now of course that is somewhat a complement to the other 94% of us because at least 94% of us didn't vote for Barney
[00:29:55]

{SPEAKER name=" Sam Bailey"}
only 6% have to bear the burden of that responsibility
[00:29:59]

{SPEAKER name=" Sam Bailey"}
there are three reasons however for the fact that only 6% of people went to the polls and elected the present administration
[00:30:11]

{SPEAKER name=" Sam Bailey"}
the first reason is the one party system where only one set of ideas is tolerated
[00:30:20]

{SPEAKER name=" Sam Bailey"}
not only are negroes so circumscribed that many of us are reluctant to talk about issues that the white citizens councils would not like discussed
[00:30:32]

{SPEAKER name=" Sam Bailey"}
but thousands of white people are more afraid of the citizens white council than negroes ever dared to be
[00:30:38]
