Dear Mrs. Holmes,

Thank you very much for forwarding the check and for the nice letter enclosed. 

Probably by now you have pretty nearly finished the sewing you have to do. You always go at anything full steam ahead. I think I used to do better than I do now. In fact, I think I used to do much more than I do now. Some days I'll plan to do several things,

to her heart's content, but I am going to take my hammer and [[lichs?]] and go down stairs and start or rather continue my insulating.  I'll finish this later.

EVE: I've just been down talking with the woman who owns the radio.  She offered to let me have it again daytimes, so I may yet be O.K. about the noise, and I have farless out for one of my own.  Now supper is cooking and I'll say good-night.
