glad I am not in the little store which was heated by oil. On cold, sunless days I never could keep warm there. 
I was in hopes to get out to see you Christmas. I didn't want to write saying I was coming and then not be able to go. As it turned out I felt too tired to make the effort. I wanted to go out to see Aunt Maud also, and then into Boston to call on Mrs. Ott, but I lay down in the P. M. and did not get up until about 7 o'clock. Lazy or something, I guess. 
I have been wondering how Sidney is getting back and forth to his work. Accommoda-
