Dear Ma:

Just a card when I intended to make it a letter! How the days and weeks slip by, and how little I get done! I wish I could celebrate Thanksgiving with you in the way we used to, but you can know that I should like to even if I can't. It is now ten minutes of six and I shall be closing right away. I have just written to Aunt Maud. Her daughter Ira died about two weeks ago. I went out to her funeral and saw Aunt Maud there, though she lives in a convalescent home now. She is so ill, she has to have constant care, Happy Thanksgiving if I don't write again before then. Love, Lena
