Dear Mrs. Holmes,

We have been driving around here for about two hours, waiting for the real estate offices to open. Yesterday ended in a bad down pour, but to-day is beautiful. We spent the first night about 16 miles out of Washington, but I did not get a chance to telephone Doris - too late when we arrived spent last night at a charming southern home in Sanford. Making good time.
