Ira, Ray, and Lois were over to supper last night, and to spend the evening; and this forenoon Lois came again for an hour or two to work on a blouse I gave her the material for. She will be fourteen this month, and I thought she ought to begin to make her own clothes. She knows how to embroider anyway, so I guess won't find dressmaking very difficult. 

Have you seen any of the spring birds yet? I haven't. A while ago I thought that possibly I heard a robin, but I guess I was mistaken.

Do flickers stay here all winter. I thought that if they did, it might have been one.
